About Kat

East Tennessee TTouch came from Kat's lifelong passion with animals and a commitment to completely kind and cooperative animal interaction and training.

From an early age, Kat began training and showing her  own dogs and other people's horses (agility, obedience, show jumping, cross country riding/jumping, saddle/hunt seat equitation, exercise jockey, point-to-point racing).   Kat spent more time at the local barn than she did in her own home!     .... Since then she's taught obedience, agility and pet assisted therapy both publicly and privately as well as being an active pet assisted therapy volunteer.

Many practitioners have an interesting story of how they came to TTouch.   Kat's story begins with the passing of her Father in 2007.    ....  A month later as she was recovering from a potentially fatal bicycling accident, the word TTouch again raised it's head into her life and this time she followed the calling.   Kat had a body that needed "something" in the form of rehabilitation and her beloved companion Jazz had just been diagnosed with a degenerating hip that would potentially warrant a complete hip replacement; a major surgery Kat was intensely interested in avoiding,  or putting off as long as possible.

The hip replacement for Jazz has not come to pass.  Her range of motion and comfort are pretty normal  ~  all things considered.     Kat's face (which sustained significant injury in the bike wreck) continues to regain feeling thanks to TTouch,  and her hands (also badly hurt) do pretty well ~ better than expected.   What had begun as weakened hands unable to function dependably has flourished and gained strength through TTouch with little residual pain.
